ABOUT ME

My name is Nastya Rubel.

I am a multidisciplinary artist based in Barcelona, Spain.

I create feature and experimental films. I shoot and edit documentaries, make films collected from archival materials, fiction films, and video essays.

My main theme is working with memory and rewriting reminiscences. Collaborative creativity with artificial intelligence and 3D modeling helps me with this.

I also have a passion for ceramics. My fascination with ceramics continues my love for analog materials recorded on cassette tapes, notepads with passwords to websites, stacks of photographs from childhood, clay with fingerprints,
old Siemens/Nokia phones and photographs taken on them.

Born in St. Petersburg, Russia. Graduated from the Moscow School of New Cinema in 2021, master of editing.
